What is Server Remarks?
When Netcore Email API's delivery servers attempt to deliver an email to the recipient server, there can be two scenarios:
- Email is successfully delivered.
- Email got bounced and is not delivered.
In both of the above cases, the recipient server returns an acknowledgement which is listed as Server Remarks.
Successful delivery/Status= 'Sent' doesn't mean that the email reached to the recipient's mailbox or not. There is no way to track whether the email has reached to recipient's mailbox or not. Most of the recipient servers accept the emails and add them to their internal queue for anti-spam/firewall rule matching before actual delivery to recipient's mailbox. They return an acknowledgement message at the time of email acceptance, which we display under the 'Server Remarks' in the 'Live Feed'.
In most major mailbox providers like Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail, these queues are almost realtime. Hence, there is no delay between the 'Sent' status & actual email delivery to the recipient. However, for some corporate mailboxes, the recipient might see delays in receiving the emails.
One thumb rule which you should ensure is- Send useful and relevant emails so that you can bypass all anti-spam/firewall rules with speed and can reach recipient's mailbox on time.
In case of bounces, the server remarks should be further analysed to identify the type of bounces and ways to reduce the same in future.
