Requirements For Sending Domains
At Netcore Email API, we are committed to helping all our customers become responsible and successful senders. We do this by offering guidance on deliverability best practices, providing real-time feedback on your email performance, and enforcing policies that protect both your reputation and ours.
Sender Domain Verification: Why It Matters
Sender domain verification is a key policy to ensure high inbox delivery rates. It confirms that you own the domain you're sending from and helps maintain trust across the email ecosystem.
Step 1: Ownership Verification
To start sending emails via Netcore Email API, you must verify your sender domain by proving ownership.
This is done by adding the SPF and DKIM records provided under Domain Settings in your Netcore Email API account.
We follow strict domain approval measures—a combination of automated and manual checks—to ensure domains are legitimate and sending relevant emails.
What Our Delivery Team Reviews
Your domain will be reviewed based on several factors:
- Domain ownership
- Website content
- Nature of your business
- List-building practices
- Type of transactional or triggered messages
- Relevance of emails to your business
- Location match between your business and account setup
- And more
This approval process typically takes under 2 hours. Once approved and TXT records are added, you can begin sending emails.
Domain Not Approved?
If your domain isn't approved right away:
- Reach out to our support team for a review.
- Sometimes, we may need additional information about your business or website.
- Our team will contact you via your registered email address if further details are required.
- Providing the necessary info will help us process your request quickly.
Choosing the Right Domain for Emailing
Your domain plays a critical role in your email deliverability and credibility. Choose wisely and avoid changing it frequently.
Tips for choosing a sender domain:
- Use a different domain or sub-domain for email activity.
E.g.,myshoppingsitemails.com
(new domain) oremail.myshoppingsite.com
(sub-domain). - Use separate sub-domains for transactional and promotional emails.
E.g.,trans.myshoppingsite.com
for transactional andemail.myshoppingsite.com
for promotional. - If using a separate domain, ensure it redirects to your main business website and has a similar name to maintain brand trust and recognition.
