Getting Started with Google RCS Messaging
To start RCS messaging, you will require a CPaaS account with RCS activated for it.
Important Compliance Note
Ensure that the terms and conditions in the opt-in form on your website explicitly mention RCS or SMS consent. If this is not included, your BRD form will be rejected. This requirement guarantees that your users have given their consent to receive RCS or SMS communications from your brand.
To activate RCS messaging, follow these steps:
- Start by filling out the BRD form for RCS - BRD Form. This form captures your requirements and configurations for the RCS messaging service. You can access a sample BRD form here for reference - Sample BRD.
- Once you submit the BRD form, our team will use the information you provided to create a custom bot.
- To verify the details provided by you in the BRD form, VI will send a confirmation email to your designated point of contact (SPOC) at your company.

- Once the SPOC has verified the information and approved it by replying to the email sent by VI, the VI team will confirm the bot verification within 3 to 4 business days.
- Then, the request will be submitted to Google for final approval, which typically takes 7-8 business days.
- After Google's approval, our account manager will set up your CPaaS panel and activate RCS messaging on it (including SMS fallback).
- You'll receive an API key for your CPaaS panel. Use this key to integrate RCS messaging functionality into your CEE platform (Click here to know how).
- Then, Netcore's onboarding team will provide a demo that will include live template management and the campaign creation process.
