Manage Blocked Numbers & Compliance

Overview

The Blocklist section in Netcore CPaaS allows you to manage mobile numbers that should not receive SMS messages. This feature is essential for maintaining compliance, avoiding unwanted communication, and ensuring that messages are sent only to valid and permitted recipients.

On the Blocklist dashboard, select the date range to analyze your blocked SMS campaigns. The following capabilities are present on the blocklist dashboard:

DownloadClick the Download button to export the blocklist. The file will be sent to your registered email.
RefreshClick Refresh to load the most recent data from the blocklist.
View LogsClick View Logs to see the history of blocked uploads, file status, and actions taken.

Blocklist Dashboard

On the Blocklist Dashboard, you can view all the blocked numbers along with the following details:

Blocked NumbersThe mobile numbers that have been blocked from receiving SMS.
EnterpriseThe brand or account under which the number is blocked.
Feed NameThe sender feed/channel associated with the blocked number.
Sender IDThe sender ID from which messages were being sent.
TRAI ModeIndicates whether the block is for Promotional or Transactional messages.
Added OnThe date and time when the number was blocked.
Blocked ByThe user who initiated the block. (Could be a Netcore user or a Bizbond user)
ActionAvailable options to manage or unblock the number.

Good to know

TRAI Mode refers to the type of SMS route governed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). When blocking numbers or managing SMS templates, selecting the correct mode ensures messages are delivered (or blocked) based on the type of content.

Add Numbers to Blocklist

You can add mobile numbers to the Blocklist using either of the following methods:

Manual Entry

  1. Go to the Blocklist section> Click on Add Number.
  2. Enter up to 5 mobile numbers (10-digit format, no country code).
  3. Select the Enterprise, Feed Name, and Sender ID.
  4. Choose the TRAI Mode (Promotional or Transactional).
  5. Click Add to block the numbers.

Bulk Upload

  1. Go to the Blocklist section > Click on Add Number. Click on the Upload CSV option.
  2. Prepare a .csv file with 10-digit mobile numbers (headers is not required).
  3. Select the associated Enterprise, Feed Name, and Sender ID.
  4. Choose the TRAI Mode.
  5. Upload the file and click Submit.

After uploading, the system will process the file and display the status in the View Logs section, including valid/invalid entries and error details.

Note

Only 10-digit numbers without country codes are accepted. Duplicate or incorrectly formatted numbers will be marked invalid.
